Kailali Multiple Campus MBA-E Programme (Master
of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship)
Introduction
Kailali Multiple Campus (KMC) is a pioneer, QAA certified and largest
community based campus of Nepal. KMC offers Master of Business Administration
in Entrepreneurship (MBA-E) Programme through its Graduate School of
Management. This programme focuses on the creation of social and economic value
by developing core capabilities of idea generation, opportunity recognition,
resource acquisition and entrepreneurial management. Students will thus learn
to shape entrepreneurial opportunities and assess financial feasibility and
managerial sustainability of the enterprise. MBA-E course has been
designed for:
· young graduates with entrepreneurial ambitions but no prior business
experience, to foster their aspirations and facilitate new venture ideas
through a practical learning experience,
· managers from the corporate world, who deal with sustainability and
corporate social responsibility, wish to update their knowledge and need
professional insight into the management,
· entrepreneurs who want to develop conceptual knowledge, critical skills
and creative thinking essentially required in the changing competitive business
world and
· family business owners who have inherited family businesses and who want
to build and further grow their family business.
The MBA-E curriculum comprises four elements: foundation and business core
courses, entrepreneurship courses, elective courses and internship and
dissertation. The intensive core curriculum gives students a foundation in the
fundamental practices of business including finance, accounting, statistics,
human resource, marketing, economics, leadership, strategic management,
business ethics and broad management skills essential to succeed in any career.
Entrepreneurship and elective courses develop practical skills and offer
insights into specialized areas of expertise.

Eligibility
The applicant must meet the following requirements in order to be eligible
to apply for the MBA-E programme:
· A Minimum of 15 years of formal education (12 years of schooling plus three years of graduation).
· Must have secured a minimum CGPA of 2.0 or 45% in bachelor level. The
final decision of admission is taken on the basis of performance scores of an
applicant in the admission tests.
Admission Test
Kailali Multiple Campus, Graduate School of Management (KMC-GSM )
shall conduct a four stage admission
test under the supervision of Faculty of
Management TU, for screening of applicants. The applicants shall be screened
through Written Test, Group Discussion, Individual Presentation and Personal
Interview.
Fee Structure
The total cost of the two year MBA-E programme will be Rs 355,000.Each
student will pay all fees for a semester at the beginning of the semester. The
breakdown of semester wise fees will be as follows:

*1: Semester charges include, tuition
fees, resource material and computer lab costs. Cost of photo copy of case materials,

affiliation charges to be paid by the students.
4: The cost of excursion/field visit
will be shared by the students in the following manner:
· Affordable
transportation and lodging cost to be paid by KMC
· Food cost
and other expenses to be paid by the students
5: MBA-E student can borrow two books
at a time from the library.

Attendance
Students are required to attend regularly all classes, presentations,
group discussions, practicum and seminars as required by the course. Student
falling to attend 80% of the classes shall not be allowed to appear in the end
-semester examination.
Teaching Pedagogy
The general teaching methodology of the programme includes interactive
lectures, students' presentation, case studies, field study, individual and
group projects, seminars and practicum.
Class Timings
The class timing will be from 6.00 AM to 1.00 PM through Sunday to Friday.
Each class will of one hour duration.
Maximum Duration of the Study
The maximum duration for the completion of the requirements for the MBA-E
programme is five years from the date of enrollment.

Grading System
The grading system followed by MBA-E programme will be based on the
absolute performance of a student in the in-semester evaluations and semester-end
examination.The performance of a student in the MBA-E programme shall be made
on the four-point scale ranging from 0 to 4.

· A student must secure minimum Grade Point Average (GPA ) of 3.0 or Grade
B in a course in order to be eligible to appear in the semester-end examination of that
course.
· Students who do not qualify to appear in the semester -end examination
shall have tore-register and retake the course as per the semester cycle.
·
Students who are qualified but
fail to appear in the semester - end examination or fail in the semester -end
examination can appear in the make –up examinations as per the semester cycle.
Degree Requirements
A student for fulfilling the MBA-E degree requirements:

Must secure a
minimum of CGPA of 3.0 (60 percent) on
the 4.0 scale.
·
Must complete
all courses, internship and dissertation as specified in the curricular
structure within the maximum time period specified.
